Another Gay Year

Rue Mevlana performed at pride last Saturday. The show was more R&B flavored then the previous ones. It included a cover of Color Me Badd's "I Wanna Sex You Up", as well as 4 pairs of homemade hammer pants, created by our go-to designer Allison Bannister.

Syndi Zook blew everyone's mind as per usual, this time with a cover of Myesha's "Eat My Pussy".


Here's a picture of Mara and Tanya being Mara and Tanya. Heart. This blog is made a lot less scandalous by way of posting their picture in hammer pants as opposed to their go-go dancing outfits.


This was our promo shot for the evening, which, sadly, was ignored by our local newspaper. This oversight did relieve me of any obligation I felt to play the mandolin during our performance though.

I will miss Rue Mevlana when I'm gone.
